What the Heck!

I will go back to being numb and blah another day. Today I have six types of desserts in my refrigerator, the radio is playing my all-time favourite songs one after the other, this is my 500th post on this blog, I have decided to chop off some more hair, I have also decided to make some effort to improve my signature, AND an oldie and I made each other very happy. So, here's something that ought to be here.

Three Rs that made me happy...
Robin
It took me very long to feel comfortable around him. But it has been great getting to know him. Like I have mentioned earlier, it has been incredible working with him. More than that, it used to be fun just taaaalking all the time. And the fact that we hated each other every morning because he liked being animated first thing in the morning and I could not stand noise and bullshit at that hour now makes it funny in retrospect.
"So jaaaaa, Robin!"

Ranjan
I cannot describe what a delight it is to have this boy around! The only encouragement during terrible losses at the badminton court (:P), the happiest hugs on campus, endless animated conversations (not in the mornings), a whole lot of positivity, and the best of smiles always came from him and never ever failed to make me happier.
"Teraaaa hone laga hoon!"

Ruhi
She has taken care of me and given me space in just the right amount at all times. She used to save me food (!), keep her door open for me through the night, willingly accompany me to the city for oddest things, fill me in with a lot of SIBM gossip, and took off from the last party of the batch just to give me company on the hilltop.

The two Ss without whom I felt my life was incomplete...

Swetha
She was the brightness, the happiness, and the madness with whom I weaved a lot of unforgettable experiences.

Sahil
In his company I never realised how I changed from being who I used to be to what I am today.

The six desserts: Homemade firni, ras malai, homemade gulab jamun, a plum cake, a creamy chocolate cake, and chocolates. :D :D

Bling-in-Law

You know how people can be different in the way they look, think, act, talk, etc. My sister-in-law and I too are different in almost all respects. Especially as far as taste in shoes, clothes and bags is considered. If I drool over those big leather bags, she likes them shiny. If I like plain, cotton tees, she likes dresses that are shiny. And if I pick floaters, she picks red stilettos.
While this brings good variety to the family's look, it is rather funny when we go shopping together. Brother along! It happened today. At 44 degree celsius.

At one shoe store: I was looking at the classic black pair of heels that goes with everything. She, on the other hand, to kill time, picked a silver shoe that had a big shiny silver flower on it. I put on the right shoe, she put on the left shoe. The same guy was attending to us both. I asked for a smaller heel in that design. She asked for more colours in her design. And then we both looked up from our feet, in the direction where Bhaiya was sitting, seeking opinion. Oh man! Poor man!
At least the other man was getting paid to see two opposite customer-types together.

And I am getting training on cosmetics too. I will soon be able to tell a lip pencil from an eye pencil. Wait and watch.

Oh My God.. I've Become a Cat!

I mostly stay calm on the exterior now.
I love attention and being loved.
According to people I have bright-ish eyes.
I can choose to be totally mean.
I am temperamental.
I am no more the loyalist I used to be.

OH MY GOD!

Avan, my Catwoman just happened to call. She is happy to know about this discovery of mine, and insists that cats are the nicest 'people' around. I almost want to tip my preferences to the other side now.
Wow, I did not see this day coming.

Temme Temme!

Tell me how the blog looks. From the time when I used to change the template every two months or so, this one's come after about three years. I am liking it. Tell me what you think about it. Of course, keeping in mind the Fuchsia context. :-)

Your Brand's Worth?

A funny conversation with a friend today led to the realisation that I have fought/argued with several companies/brands due to bad service delivered. I could recall ten of those, and here they are!

Airtel
Vodafone
HUL - Pureit
Spicejet
HSBC
Barista
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
Pizza Hut
Adidas
Hair & Shanti/Madonna/Meghna - all are hair salons in Delhi

The first five were pretty severe wars.
The food/beverage places tend to mess it up a lot more anyway!
Adidas, well, once each shoe of a pair broke into two within a few months of purchase and they offered no help whatsoever!
And the rest for giving me bad haircuts on several occasions. :-|

On the other hand, some brands that have been great experiences in terms of quality of product as well as service are...

Dell
Converse
Costa Coffee
Samsung
Gati
Marks & Spencer
DTDC
Bata Power
Timex
And some doctors that I have been visiting for a long time now. :P

Tell me how often do you fight for the exorbitant service taxes and mad MRPs you pay?
